Hennepin Canal Oral History Project, 1976-1977.

Transcripts of interviews with Mae Thompson, Herman Thompson and Clarence Sapp. Mae Thompson gives an overview of daily life for canal families in the second quarter of the 20th century. Herman Thompson was an overseer on the canal. Clarence Sapp worked on the canal in a variety of jobs, including living in the seven room locktender's house boat. Interviews were conducted by Mary Yeater.
